With their victory against the New Orleans Pelicans, the Boston Celtics became the first club in the NBA this season to reach the 30-win mark

The Boston Celtics were the first NBA club this season to reach 30 victories after beating the New Orleans Pelicans 125-114 on Wednesday night at TD Garden in Boston. The club's studs, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, who combined for 72 points to lead the team in scoring, deserve a major share of the credit for this triumph.

The Celtics won their fourth straight game thanks to Brown's season-high 41 points and Tatum's 31 points and 10 rebounds.

In a deliberate effort to avoid settling for efforts from beyond the arc, Brown particularly targeted the Pelicans from the mid-range. He credited the extra strength he developed in the summer for enabling him to handle contact with larger opponents. In the first round of the NBA playoffs, Brown's performance against the Pelicans took place.

Brown told reporters after the game, via the Celtics' official website: "This year, I think I can reach the hoop quite quickly.

"I want to keep going in that direction."

"I don't want to absolve the defense, but I'm pleased with a lot of the long-range shots I made. While some of them received treatment, others didn't. Nevertheless, I still think that I will prioritize getting closer to the hoop in the season's remaining games."

Al Horford, a forward for the Celtics, reiterated the idea by saying, "I believe that people can sense (Brown) when he is driving."

You can tell it's real when he strikes you while driving. It's amazing to see him play at that level because it's inspiring to see him compete at that level and to know that he'll go for the paint.

With his sixth 40-point performance of his career, Brown surpassed Isaiah Thomas and Sam Jones to become the sixth-most prolific scorer in Celtics history. As of right now, Brown is the Celtics' sixth-leading scorer.

Due to their combined efforts, the two wing players, along with Tatum, have been an important part of Boston's recent success.

Despite being eliminated by the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals the season before, the team is once again regarded as one of the best in the league.

By each recording at least 30 points and 10 rebounds in the same game, Brown and Tatum became the first Celtics players since Paul Pierce and Antoine Walker in 2001 to achieve that stat line. This was accomplished by Brown and Tatum, who both had at least 30 points and 10 rebounds in the same game.

They were able to collaborate to build an understanding of how to penetrate defenses since they were both selected with the third overall selection in their respective drafts one year apart (Tatum in 2017 and Brown in 2016).

Horford made a statement on the dynamic duo after the victory, stating, "They continue to progress in front of our eyes." The main thing that drives our team is the enthusiasm they pull from one another.
