2022 Oregon Primary Election Story (Governor)

Tina Kotek received 32.44% (275.3k votes) beating both Tobias Read who had 18.39% (156.02k votes) and Christine Drazan who had 10.05% (85255 votes) in the overall count of votes in Oregon if the election were among these 3 candidates.

Tina Kotek wins 18 counties out of the counties in the state of Oregon to support his claims of his movement in the country. Christine Drazan won 10 counties and Joe Biden won just 2 counties in the state of Oregon.

These 10 counties play an important role in these primary elections. If a candidate, can get a sizable majority, it becomes very difficult to win majorities in the smaller counties with out voter out reach and increased voter participation in them.

In a head to head match up on just the total number of votes, Tobias Read (64.7%) beats Christine Drazan (35.3%). Tina Kotek (76.4%) beats Christine Drazan (23.6%) and Tina Kotek (63.8%) beats Tobias Read (36.2%).

Tina Kotek simply won the majority of the top 10 counties. Tobias Read and Christine Drazan could not achieve a victory since Tina Kotek captures so many voters across most counties.
