2022 California Primary Election Story (Senate)

A head to head comparison of the 2022 California Primary gives us an idea of the break down of the voters.

Alex Padilla received 64.9% (3.68M votes) beating both Mark Meuser who had 17.79% (1.01M votes) and Cordie Williams who had 8.23% (466732 votes) in the overall count of votes in California if the election were among these 3 candidates.

Alex Padilla wins 54 counties out of the counties in the state of California to support his claims of his movement in the country. Mark Meuser won 4 counties and Joe Biden won just 2 counties in the state of California.

These 10 counties play an important role in these primary elections. If a candidate, can get a sizable majority, it becomes very difficult to win majorities in the smaller counties with out voter out reach and increased voter participation in them.

In a head to head match up on just the total number of votes, Mark Meuser (68.4%) beats Cordie Williams (31.6%). Alex Padilla (88.7%) beats Cordie Williams (11.3%) and Alex Padilla (78.5%) beats Mark Meuser (21.5%).

Alex Padilla simply won the majority of the top 10 counties. Mark Meuser and Cordie Williams could not achieve a victory since Alex Padilla captures so many voters across most counties.
