2022 North Carolina Primary Election Story (Senate)

Cheri Beasley received 38.11% (501.77k votes) beating both Ted Budd who had 34.04% (448.13k votes) and Pat McCrory who had 14.29% (188135 votes) in the overall count of votes in North Carolina if the election were among these 3 candidates.

Ted Budd wins 61 counties out of the counties in the state of North Carolina to support his claims of his movement in the country. Cheri Beasley won 39 counties and Joe Biden won just 2 counties in the state of North Carolina.

These 10 counties play an important role in these primary elections. If a candidate, can get a sizable majority, it becomes very difficult to win majorities in the smaller counties with out voter out reach and increased voter participation in them.

Cheri Beasley simply won the majority of the top 10 counties. Ted Budd and Pat McCrory could not achieve a victory since Cheri Beasley captures so many voters across most counties.
