2020 Idaho Presidential Primary Story
A head to head comparison of the 2020 Primary gives us an idea of the break down of the voters.
In the Idaho Caucus Primary, Donald Trump received 112,373 (52%) votes, Joe Biden received 53,151 (25%) votes and Bernie Sanders received 46,114 (21%).
Donald Trump wins 40 out of the 44 counties in the state of Idaho to support his claims of his movement in the country. Biden and Sanders won 2 counties each in the state of Idaho.

The 3 race vote comparison Joe Biden (54%) beats Bernie Sanders (46%). Donald Trump (71%) beats Bernie Sanders (29%) of the vote. Donald Trump (68%) beats Joe Bidden (32%) of the caucus in a head to head match up on total vote counts.
These 10 counties play an important role in these primary elections. Unlike in California, in Idaho, top county is not an order of magnitude larger than the other counties. Even though a candidate, can get a sizable majority in a large county it is possible for the other candidate to catch up from the smaller counties.

Although Joe Biden won in Ada, he could not achieve a victory since Donald Trump captured so many voters across most counties. This gave Donald Trump an upper hand in the state of Idaho.
